Each of the 80+ playable characters has one or several unique abilities to differentiate them from the others. Just like X always marks the spot, a Lego character always has a unique ability. Simply approach one of these characters and their price will be displayed along with the option to purchase them. After you beat the story section where you met them, these characters will be walking through The Port, the game's hub world. Most characters that you interact with during the story are also playable, but they must be purchased with studs. In typical Lego game fashion, every single one of them is playable.Īny character you control during Story Mode will be unlocked automatically at the end of their level. This means that during the course of Story Mode, you'll interact with nearly one hundred different characters as you make your way through the campaign. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean spans the universe of all four Pirates of the Caribbean movies. You might not even be playing as a human. You'll be able to interact with any object made of bricks, and destroying or rebuilding these objects rewards you with Lego studs. Just like in real life, the best parts of playing with Legos are destroying and rebuilding.
